We all experience feeling stuck from time to time. We may not be sure why we feel stuck, but we do not usual enjoy these feelings. We do have some ways to manage feeling stuck.
When we get so busy in life that we push aside our feelings, we tend to find that we are at a loss of knowing exactly what is bothering us. We all do it because we are so busy. When we get into touch with our true self and explore what underlying feelings that may be lingering, we can learn how to process our emotions so that we can move forward.
According to Dr. Durlofsky (n.d.), pushing away our feelings can hinder us from progressing forward. Maybe accepting our feelings is key. Most of us believe feeling stuck is wrong so we feel we have to change ourselves in some way. Maybe all we need to do is tune into our true self and listen to what we have to say rather than acting or behaving the way we feel we should.
Some other ways to getting through or over feeling stuck:
(2) Take time to take care of ourselves
(3) break out of our comfort zone – do something outside our daily routine
(4) Take time to do something we enjoy
