I spent the first part of the week working on designing and sewing a retreat style bag, and I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it. I usually put off playing in my sewing room because I feel I have more important things to work on. I never allow anything to take up my stitch time, unless my family needs me to help them with something.
During the week I enjoy watching flosstube, and I tend to allow my television to just roll with the next video. Most of the time, I get to see many of my favorites. Sometimes, new flosstubers will come across the screen, and I always intend to mention them in my video, but I forget! If you do not know her, Nicole (stitchy lemon) is from Austria and she is a fabulous stitcher as well as sweet as can be! I made a link for you to go over and see her; you will love her too!
Wips In Progress (WIPs)
I worked on one project all week! My Summer Squirrel pattern by The Blue Flower needed more attention than I realized last video. Do you ever have days where it seems every stitch needs redoing? I am not sure if it was my focus or just getting tired earlier in the evening causing me to nearly fall asleep while stitching, but I was really not very good at stitching this week. I managed to almost complete the pattern; however, I still have the top border to replace and some of the leaves on the vines left to go before it is complete. My goal is to finish this pattern this coming week, so I hope to show a finish next video!
Stitch Sania Goals
Since I am participating in Stitch Sania created by Lindy Stitches this year instead of regular Stitch Mania, I would say my Stitch Sania goal is finishing the Summer Squirrel pattern, but I am so close to finishing I feel that would not be fair. Sooo, my “playing with jax” pattern goal is to stitch the pumpkin with the quilt block in order to get to a new start this coming weekend. BUT, I am thinking this is still not really fair enough, so I am adding onto my goal my “Downtown Glamous” pattern by Teresa Gil Cross Stitch on Etsy of 400 stitches to get a new start this coming weekend! Both of these are my WIPGO stitches for May, so I am thinking these are smart goals! 🙂
Well, I hope you enjoyed this weeks video as I am still learning how to make video’s and not be so timid. Happy Stitching until next week!
